Certificate II In Security Operations - CPP20212 1ACE Security Licence

How do I obtain a 1ACE Security Licence?

Allies Security Services has been offering quality training and assessment programs for Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20212 since January 2014. To work in NSW as Security Officer new entrants will have to under take the fifteen nominated units of competency as required by the Security Licencsing and Enforcement Directorate (SLED) who are the industry regulators in NSW.

What will this type of licence enable me to do?

  • Security Licence 1A - Static and Mobile Patrol Guard authorises the licensee to work as a Static and Mobile Patrol Guard in shopping centres, and to watch property etc.
  • Security License 1C - Crowd Controller authorises the licensee to work as a Crowd Controller on licensed premises such as Sporting Arenas, Pubs, Clubs, Hotels and Casinos.

Entry requirements:

  • Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen or have full time working rights in Australia (student or working holiday visas are not accepted)
  • Sign a Statutory Declaration regarding Criminal History  P1016 Form as per SLED requirement
  • 100 points of ID Certified by a J.P - this MUST consist of one PRIMARY ID (passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate) - for more information refer to downloads section.
  • Provide us with a USI (Unique Student Identifier) - for more information :http://www.usi.gov.au/Students/Pages/steps-to-create-your-USI.aspx
  • Meet prescribed language, literacy and numeracy requirements as per SLED requirement*

*If you are unable to successfully meet the English literacy requirements, Allies Security Services Pty Ltd will assist you with referrals to TAFE NSW or the Adult Migrant Education Service so that you may undertake additional training in English language and literacy. You may re-sit the literacy test with Allies Security Services Pty Ltd at any time and without any further cost to you. If you are in doubt with regards to your Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills then we strongly suggest that you come to visit us personally prior to the course commencement.
 

What Certification will I receive?

  • CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations and a separate Statement of Attainment for three additional units of competency, OR
  • A Statement of Attainment consisting of fourteen units if you do not complete HLTFA311A Apply First Aid*

 *Trainees are required to undertake an extra one hour workshop for HLTFA311A Apply First Aid, upon the completion of HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, to obtain the qualification CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations. However, if the trainee chooses not to undertake the workshop for the training and assessment of HLTFA311A Apply First Aid they will be issued with a Statement of Attainment with 14 units of competencies and HLTAID003 Provide First Aid to comply with the security industry regulator (SLED) to obtain an unrestricted 1ACE Security Licence.

Course details:

The course covers the basic legal, operational knowledge and skills to start working in manpower (Class 1) sectors of the security industry. 

Training Hours: 102 hours classroom face to face

Daytime 10 days in total (2 weeks)

Week 1

Monday to Wednesday from 7.30am – 6.15pm

Thursday from 7.30am - 6.30pm

Monday to Thursday from 7.30am – 6.15pm

Friday from 7.30am - 7.15pm

 

Weekend 10 days in total

5 Weekends - Saturday & Sunday from 8:00am - 7:00pm
