Our Team of Professional Trainers and Assessors

Allies Security Service’s trainer assessor strongly believes that all course candidates for security courses should be able to visualise all aspects of the security industry in terms of self-responsibility, expectations from stakeholders, legislative requirements and managing challenging tasks in various contexts. They also believe you should be able to develop the knowledge, skills and attitude to deliver the expectations of industry stakeholders when responding to challenges while performing duties as a security officer.

Allies Security Service’s trainer will assist you in developing the relevant knowledge, skills and attitude, which will give you self-belief and confidence to work in the security industry and perform duties as a competent security officer. In addition you will develop great interpersonal skills, systematic methodology behind the security concepts and ability to design a safe security environment within the context of your respective security licence category.

Imran Ali

Imran has been involved in the security industry for the past 20+ years. He commenced his career as a security officer and progressed to security supervisor, close personal protection officer, trainer and assessor, security consultant and employer in the security industry.

Imran holds graduate qualifications in business management and communication in addition to qualifications for current security licences in New South Wales. Furthermore, he has designed self-defence courses for bodyguards, static and mobile patrol guards, and Licence venue specialists in collaboration with Martial Art expert Istvan Szasz.

He has performed duties as a volunteer with St John’s for many years and is also an honorary lifetime member for St John’s. He constantly undertakes relevant training to maintain his industry knowledge and skills in order to deliver exceptional learning experiences for all course participants.

Dean Pruitt

Dean has worked in the security industry in Australia since 2002. Prior to that, he served in the military for 16 years in a number of roles that included protection of private, government property and high value assets worldwide.

He began in security as a crowd-controller in 2002, and spent a number of years in this capacity. Dean then obtained a position as a security manager in Papau New Guinea for a large security organisation (500+ employees). He also took a position as a Security Officer at the Immigration detention centre at Nauru, responsible for the safety of asylum seekers.

Dean is currently employed by NSW Health as a Health and Security Assistant responsible for the safety of staff and patients, and responsible for dealing with high risk incidents as per relevant legislation and security code of conduct. Dean is passionate about sharing his extensive experience with students, and will assist you in understanding all aspects of the industry.

Peter Baker

First Aid Trainer. Peter is an experienced First Aid trainer.

He has served in the Marine Rescue NSW for 25+ years and has a very large understanding of prompt response to a diverse range of medical situations and emergencies. He also serves as the Training Officer in the Botany Port Hacking Unit, instructing members from different operations.

His thorough experience ensures that our trainees walk away equipped with the knowledge and ability to demonstrate first aid principles.

Shayne Garrett

Shayne has been involved in the security industry for approximately 25 years, performing a range of job roles including crowd-controller, security officer and security manager.  He was a manager for the training and development of operational staff in security firms. He also worked for 13 years with Sydney Trains as a Senior Transit Officer, where he was responsible for training, assessing and supervising newly recruited transit officers.

Shayne’s extensive experience in the security industry is a valuable asset, enabling him to impart his knowledge with students in the classroom. This knowledge empowers students who wish to join the industry, allowing them to deliver excellent services to their clients.
